This qualification has been designed to be delivered over 40 GLH and TQT of 60 hours, this typically translates into 5 days of classroom/practical sessions with some 'out of class time' work for the learners to complete.
The delivery of this qualification involves a blend of knowledge and skills requiring the centre to have access to suitable premises to conduct various non-intrusive activities which may be at the same premises as the delivery. Vehicle searching, risk assessments, identifying vulnerable points and establishing control at the scene of a major incident will require instruction outside of the classroom (however the latter may be conducted as a tabletop exercise).
This qualification has been developed by senior security industry experts and involves many skills attributable to the role, therefore delivery staff are required to have direct experience in operations and HR planning and application within the sector.
